Important Announcement About HTSB And Email
Our goal is always to respond to phone calls and emails in a timely fashion. During non-peak periods, this means within two weeks. But during peak periods in the summer and winter months, the wait period can be much longer. You can help by not calling or leaving messages at every phone number in our office. If you call and cannot get through because the clerks are helping other teachers, please leave a voicemail:
- Speak clearly.
- Leave your first and last name, spelling your last name, and saying the last four digits of your SSN.
- Provide a contact number and days/times when you can be reached.
- Leave a short message in which you tell us the specific question you need answered.
Only the licensing clerks handle licensing-related inquiries and the clerks are assigned to teachers' last name alphas so call or email the clerk that is assigned to your alpha. We have created new alpha assignments due to an impending staff vacancy.
If you have questions about State Approved Teacher Education programs, first view the List of State Approved Teacher Education Programs before emailing lhammonds@htsb.org or calling 586-2619.
If you have questions about National Board Certification, first visit our National Board Certification Q & A page before emailing smahoe@htsb.org or calling 586-2605.
Upon the departure of one of our licensing clerks, we expect a waiting period for geting applicant lists,e tc., and we anticipate further challenges to our desire to quickly respond to your calls and emails.
If you emailed HTSB staff in the summer and fall of 2007 and did not receive a response, your email may have been among some that were never received at the office. We are unsure of the cause and are sorry that it happened.
